New York Giants

The New York Yankees look once again to dominate the American League East this season. They hope to continue the tradition that has produced 26 World Series victories and 39 American League Pennants. The team finished second in the Al East for the first time since 1997 last season and hopes to avoid a similar fate this year.

The Yankees are loaded with Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Hideki Matsui, Bobby Abreu, and Jason Giambi. The loaded lineup would seem to put the Yankees in position to win it all, but the payroll is near ridiculous even for the New York Yankees and the pitching has suffered. Without a solid starting rotation the club is constant danger of fading into the middle of the pack. It seems that Brian Cashman is always to pull some sort of trade to salvage the season and pull them into first, and they are hoping this season proves no different.

This is the last season at Yankees Stadium. The house that Ruth built is finally being put to rest after over 84 seasons that date back to 1923. The new stadium is being built just across from the street at the Macombs Dam Park. The new Yankees Stadium has been in the works for years and has been under construction since 2006. The $1.3 billion stadium hopes that the updates to modern amenities will not turn out to be a huge mistake.

Every summer thousands of tourists descend upon the city that never sleeps and many of them come with the intention of getting Yankees tickets to see the field that has played host to such Hall of Fame players as Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, and Yogi Berra.

Each summer while other teams struggle to sell MLB tickets, Yankees tickets seem to be hard to get. Of course, all New York tickets, whether sports, concerts, or theater, seem difficult to get. Each year as the New York Yankees compete deep into the seasons it seems like fans are ready to load up on World Series tickets.
